We tossed up plenty of challenges with our design, and Construct had to work through Covid, La Niña and supply chain disruptions, but their demeanour never changed from day to day. Working through problems carefully, always trying to finish things as well as they could, and never pushing back on our questions and requests. It was quite an experience!

We couldn’t be happier with the house, which is a joy to live in, and we have had only a few rather trivial problems since handover. On each occasion, Construct’s tradesmen have returned and set things right without question, always looking to make improvements while they are there.

Dan has built a quality home of over 600 square metres over a period of 18 months. He was always aware of costs and did his best to save us money wherever he believed it possible. I can honestly say that if it was not for our desire to keep on making the house as beautiful as possible, we would have come in under budget. Any changes were entirely our fault and were always managed without fuss and with pleasure.

Apart from being a great builder, he is an extremely nice and decent person, who became our friend and as a result we invited him and his family to spend some time with us and and all our kids. Dan employs people who are the same as him and his team are a joy to have around; nothing is too much trouble for the whole team at Construct. We so enjoyed working with them, that when we moved in, we had a party for everyone who worked on the job. Once it was over, a number of the guys were so proud of what we all achieved that they asked if they could bring their families round to show off their work.

I have no hesitation in recommending Dan for any job he wants to do, as I know he would never take on anything he could not do well. If I were to build another home, he would definitely be my 1st choice.

Building any home, let alone one that’s been architecturally designed, can be a stressful undertaking. Owners, many of whom have seldom or never built before, suddenly are introduced to the new world of building their Dream Home. For the unenlightened, many, many factors on the journey from conception to final project delivery can never be anticipated before works start and when the real decisions need to be made. Fortunately for us, Daniel from Construct Central Coast made the exercise as straight forward and stress free as possible, in fact even fun at times. The secret I believe is that Construct see every obstacle as an opportunity. They helped us make informed decisions throughout the building process and were always full of advice and alternatives. I am delighted to recommend Daniel Syddall of Central Coast Construct. Daniel and his team completed a complicated architect-designed build for us with a number of innovative features. Several of these features required Daniel and his team to develop custom-built solutions which worked beautifully. There was a large rock excavation and extensive waterproofing works which were done to a high standard and we do not have any water problems. was very exacting with suppliers and would not accept sub-standard materials. He also dealt very well with difficult neighbours – talking to them calmly and reasonably on our behalf when we could not be there. He gives great after sales support and has made any small adjustments we required quickly and efficiently. Any problems we encountered during the build were sorted out immediately with no fuss and Daniel was very easy to deal with. Finishes were done to a high standard and Daniel’s team take pride in their work. They generally found problems and fixed them before we had discovered them. Daniel treated the house like it was his own. Anything which didn’t come up to standard was immediately rectified. The invoices and receipts were all properly documented and easy to read and we had no reason to dispute the bills – we also used our architect to manage the billing process, but there were no problems with overcharging. Daniel also helped us manage costs of the project, making recommendations as to where we could save money without affecting the integrity or look of the house and this resulted in some large savings. Daniel works with both the architect and the owner to solve problems, achieve a high quality build and deliver value for money to the owner. We are delighted with the house he has built for us.

Daniel is a perfectionist and a great leader, this is demonstrated in his attention to detail and the high standard of quality workmanship produced by him and his team. If he thinks something can be done better he will not settle for anything less.
